MEDIA RELEASE – PLAYGROUNDS REOPENING IN TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH

TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH – For the first time in several months, children in the Township of Chatsworth will be allowed to use playgrounds effective immediately as the area moves to Stage 3 in the reopening of Ontario amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Playgrounds have been closed since March 16 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I am pleased to announce today to all the young children in our communities, that effective immediately all playgrounds have now re-opened. We hope they are once again enjoyed by the public, along with the good weather we are having”, said Mayor Mackey.

The Township still encourages physical distancing and cautions that the playground and park equipment is not being sanitized. Parents and guardians are reminded that children’s hands should be washed before and after use.
