Emergency Preparedness

An emergency can be any situation or threat of an emergency that is caused by some event, whether it is natural (e.g. tornado), technological (e.g. power outage), or human caused (e.g. terrorist attack), that negatively affects the health, safety or property of a significant portion of the people in a community.

The Township of Chatsworth regularly updates its Emergency Response Plan to ensure that a property emergency management program is in place, reflecting the procedures that would work best in managing a Township-wide emergency.

On November 7, 2018 Council adopted the updated Township of Chatsworth Emergency Management Plan by-by-law 2018-70.

Should you require a copy of the Emergency Response Plan in an alternate format, please contact us by email at patty.sinnamon@chatsworth.ca or call at 519-794-3232, ext. 124.
